Fiji Tuna is globally recognized for its premium quality, ethical sourcing, and commitment to sustainability. Harvested from one of the world’s cleanest and most biologically diverse ocean zones, Fiji Tuna reflects not just a product, but a national ethos of responsible ocean stewardship.
Fiji Tuna stands apart, caught exclusively by longline vessels in clean, net-free waters, certified for sustainability, and trusted worldwide. It is a product of both natural purity and principled practice, representing the best of what responsible fishing can offer.

100% Net-Free, Trawl-Free, and Purse Seine-Free
Fiji law prohibits the use of demersal trawlers and drift nets within its EEZ. Longlining is the only fishing method used by the national fleet within our EEZ and in areas beyond national jurisdiction (ABNJ) that is seen as an environmentally responsible fishing method. This ensures minimal bycatch, avoids harm to the marine habitats, and protects non-target species like sea turtles, sea birds, and sharks through mitigation tools adopted by the WCPFC. It reflects Fiji’s and the region’s unwavering commitment to biodiversity and fish stock protection.

Premium Handling and Cold Chain Integrity
Fiji’s longline vessels and processing facilities operate under strict hygiene protocols and cold chain management, ensuring freshness is preserved from sea to market. This results in high-quality loins, steaks, and sashimi products prized in global markets.

Certified Sustainability and Compliance
Fiji’s tuna industry holds MSC catch certification and complies with national, regional, and international conservation and management measures. This includes full cooperation with WCPFC and robust government oversight.

Full Traceability and Transparency
Every tuna harvested in Fiji is fully traceable — from vessel to export. Our documentation systems meet EU, US, and Japanese standards and support buyers’ growing demand for legal, transparent, and ethically sourced seafood.

Globally Trusted Supply Chain
As a listed exporter to the EU and other high-standard markets, Fiji Tuna is recognised for consistent quality, legal sourcing, and on-time delivery to global buyers across Asia, Europe, Oceania, and North America.

Exceptional Cold Chain Management
Fiji’s tuna industry is equipped with a highly efficient and reliable cold chain system designed to preserve the freshness and quality of every catch. Fresh tuna is airlifted within hours of landing, maintained at optimal temperatures to ensure premium quality and food safety. For frozen exports, vessels and shore-based facilities are equipped with ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezers, capable of maintaining temperatures as low as -60°C — ideal for preserving sashimi-grade tuna. This robust cold chain infrastructure ensures that Fiji Tuna reaches global markets in peak condition, meeting the highest expectations of quality-focused buyers.
